University Grants Commission has approved financial assistance to Special Centre for Molecular Medicine at Jawaharlal Nehru University for the duration of 5 years under Special Assistance Programme (SAP). The thrust areas for research and teaching identified are ‘Metabolic Disorders and Infectious Diseases’. More details about UGC-SAP are available at UGC website: www.ugc.nic.in
Applications are invited for the following purely temporary positions under UGC-Special Assistance Programme (UGC-SAP, DRS-I) at Special Centre for Molecular Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
Project Fellow (One position)
Essential Qualifications
Second class Masters Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH) or M.Phil. in biological sciences / chemistry or related subjects. The candidates possessing first class B.Tech degree or MBBS degree are also eligible to be appointed as project fellows.
Knowledge of basic instruments commonly used in biological research and computer application is desirable.
The candidate to be appointed as project fellows should be below the age of 40 years at the time of appointment.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Experience in Analytical Separation like HPLC and nano LC
2. Experience in Mass Spectrometry and allied mass analysis platforms
3. Experience in Bacterial Biofilms, Microbiology and Flow Cells.
The appointment of the Project Fellow will be made with the consolidated salary of Rs. 8000/- per month (consolidated) according to the rules & regulations of the UGC-SAP. The initial appointment will be for one year and will be annually extended based on satisfactory performance of the fellow.
No TA / DA is admissible for attending the interview.
