Applications on plain paper with complete bio-data along with self-attested photocopies of candidate’s professional certificates are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow ( on contract) to work in research project entitled “Fictionalization of wheat grains for enhancement of bioavailable micronutrients through reduction of phytic acid food inhibitor” sanction order No. SR/FT/LS-107/2009 (G ) by Government of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science &Technology, New Delhi . The application completed in all respects should reach to: Dean (R&C), Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad-211004 on or before January 10, 2012. The envelope should be superscribed as “Application for the post of Junior Research Fellow (on contract) in the Project “Functionalization of wheat grains for enhancement of bioavailable micronutrients through reduction of phytic acid food inhibitor”. Short listed applicants are requested to present themselves for the interview with updated CV and original mark sheets/ certificates in support of their academic qualifications. The position is purely temporary and will be governed by the Administrative rules/service conditions of Research & Consultancy Cell, MNNIT.
Qualifications: Post Graduation degree (M.Tech./M.Sc or equivalent) in Biotechnology/Genetics/Molecular Biology/Microbiology/Biochemistry with NET / GATE and research experience in the field of Molecular biology/ Genetics/ Microbiology/Biochemistry or in the relevant area.
Fellowship :Rs. 16000/- per month+ HRA for two years and Rs. 18000 per month +HRA in third year.
Other Benefits : Accommodation may be available as per the availability and Institutes norms in lieu of HRA.
Eligible candidate may be entitled to register for Ph.D./M. Tech Program of the Institute.
Facility of yearly leave, carryover leave, medical benefits etc. may be available as per the applicable rules for project staff.
Age Limit : 28 years (age in all cases relaxable by five years for SC/ST, OBC, Women and Physically handicapped candidates).
Project Duration: Appointment will be made on contract basis for a period of one year initially, which may be extended depending on the performance evaluation on yearly basis till the end of project.

(i) No TA/DA will be paid for their appearing in the interview.
