Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow
Interview will be conducted for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF), two (02) positions for the DBT funded research project entitled “Synergistic Interactions of Anti-bacterial Natural Products from Medicinal Plants of North East India: An Effort in Developing Multi-Drug Resistance Natural Antibiotic Leads” on 19th January 2012 at 12 noon onwards in the Department of Life Science and Bioinformatics, Assam University, Silchar.
The post is totally on temporary basis for a period of three years only. Interested candidates may submit their applications along with their CV and all requisite documents to the PI within 15th January 2012 to the following address.
Eligibility: M.Sc. in Life Science / Botany / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics from a recognised institute / university with at least 55% of marks with working knowledge in the field of Phytochemistry and Natural Product Research. or M.Pharm. from a PCI recognised institute with 55% of marks and relevant experience in the field of phytochemistry and natural products.
Fellowship: Rs. 16,000/- + 10% HRA (for NET/GATE candidates) or Rs. 12,000/- + 10% HRA (for non-NET / GATE candidates). The post will be upgraded to SRF in the third year.
