Junior Research Fellows (NET-Qualified with Fellowship) are required to work under UGC-SAP project on Phytomedicines (April, 2011- March, 2016) sanctioned to University School of Biotechnology, GGSIPU.
Eligibility: M.Sc/M.Tech in Microbiology/ Biotech/ Life sciences/Biochemistry/ Organic/Medicinal Chemistry from a recognized university with NET/JRF either from UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DST, DBT. OR candidates with B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Pharma in related field with GATE.
Desirable: Having some experience with working on ce ll lines, known isolation
and purification techniques such HPLC, GC etc. strong desire to work in the field
of Phytomedicine.

Interested candidates will be working under the supervision of following faculty depend on their field of interest.
1. Prof. Rajinder K Gupta: Isolation & Identification of antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory agents from Natural Sources (Plants & Microorganisms, "Rare Actinomycetes").
2. Associate Professor Dr Kamal K Aggrawal: Screening of plant protease inhibitors & phytosiderophores for antimicrobial & therapeutic activity. 3. Associate Professor Dr Promila Gupta: Identification and evaluation of bioactive components from plants (Cereals/Millets).
4. Assistant Professor Dr Suresh Kumar To study the protective role of medicinal plant and its phytoconstituents in neurodegenerative disorder specifically Alzheimer's diseases.
5. Assistant Professor Dr Monica Gandhi: To study the protective role of medicinal plants in Recurrent Spontaneous Abortion (RSA).
