One POSTDOCTORAL POSITION in Biochemistry / Molecular Biology / Structural Biology University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX
Description : A 2-years funded postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Microbiology at the UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW)*, Dallas, TX. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, interested to investigate the assembly of HIV-human protein-protein and protein-RNA complexes involved in transcription and RNA processing. To this end, we are using a multidisciplinary approach including cellular and molecular biology, protein biochemistry, virology and structural biology. This position will provide excellent training opportunities and networked environment since UTSW is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to conduct cutting-edge experiments (www.utsouthwestern.edu/home/research/corefacilities/).
Qualification : Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related fields, with a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, RNA biology and protein expression. Expertise in structural biology techniques or bioinformatics would be a plus. The candidate should have a strong publication record in quality peer-reviewed journals, demonstrated creative thinking, be able to work independently and have the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
