Eleven postdoctoral positions are available in the Institute of Microbiology, Academy of Sciences, Videnska 1083, 14220 Prague, Czech Republic in project IMPULS, Inovation in Microbiology – Postdoctoral Training and Laboratory Center. The project is supported by OP Education for Competitiveness (European Social Fund and the national budget of the Czech Republic). We offer interesting work in one of the best scientific institutions in the Czech Republic and a participation in establishment of scientific groups for new Biotechnology and Biomedicine Center in Vestec.
Other Responsibilities:
In addition to their scientific work, successful candidates will also be required to teach in advanced courses related to their specific area of expertise. The teaching workload will not exceed five hrs/week.
We offer:
Funds for long-term research stay (3 to 6 months) in cooperating laboratory are provided.
The salary is 50 000 – 60 000 CZK (~ 2000 – 2400 EUR) per month.
Requirements:
- The applicants should have a recent Ph.D. in the corresponding field and a promising publication record; the degree had to be obtained no earlier than March 28, 2008.
- Very good English skills (TOEFL, FCE or equivalent degree is required).
- The applicant must be able to start his/her work no later than October 1, 2012.
