One JRF/SRF/RA position is available under CSIR sponsored project (37(1495)/11/EMR-II) entitled “Regulation of heat shock proteins in Drosophila melanogaster populations simultaneously selected for faster pre-adult development

The salary/fellowship would be fixed as per CSIR as well as University of Delhi norms.
The appointment will be for an initial period of 6 months and may be extended on an annual basis till the termination of the project (March 2015), subject to satisfactory progress of the candidate.
The candidates are required to attend an interview at the Department of Zoology, University of Delhi, North Campus, at their own cost.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. Selection as JRF/SRF in this project does not entitle the candidate for a Ph.D. position in DU. The position is purely temporary.
Minimum Qualifications (as per the CSIR norms) are: Candidate should have completed MSc/BE/BTech or equivalent degree, with 55% marks and should have qualified in the CSIR-UGC NET/GATE test. In addition, knowledge of handling Drosophila fly populations would be desirable.
