A walk-in-interview will be conducted for contractual appointment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DBT funded project ‘Development of microbial consortium for plant growth promotion and biological control in legumes’ at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on November 28, 2011 at 11.00 AM in the office of the Head, Department of Mycology and Plant Pathology, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University

Name of the Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project Entitle :‘Development of microbial consortium for plant growth promotion and biological control in legumes’ .
Duration: The period of JRF is up to June, 2012.
Emoluments: Monthly remuneration of Rs.16,000/- plus HRA
Qualifications for JRF: M.Sc.(Ag.) in Plant Pathology/Mycology and Plant Pathology/Plant Biotechnology or M.Sc. in Microbiology/Botany/Biotechnology with 55% marks, and NET/GATEqualified.
Age: Upper age limit is 28 years (5 years relaxation for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Candidates) as on the date of interview. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
Mode of Application :The eligible and interested candidates desirous to work in the project must bring a copy of bio-data giving Name, Permanent and Correspondence Address, Name of Father and Mother, Telephone Numbers and E. Mail address, details of educational career (starting from High School or equivalent) along with original and attested copies of mark-sheets & certificates of educational qualifications and also of any research or other experience. Please also bring NOC from Employer/University, if working already and a latest passport size photographs at the time of walk-in-interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Terms and conditions:
  • 1. Position is purely temporary, time-bound and co-terminus with the project.
  • 2. There is no provision for re-employment after termination of the project.
  • 3. The engagement can be discontinued due to administrative reasons.
  • 4. The candidates attending the walk-in-interview will not be entitled for TA/DA
  • 5. Eligible candidates must be present 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of interview to complete necessary formalities.
  • 6. The decision of the BHU will be final and binding in all aspects.
