The Institute of Microbial Technology, a constituent establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, wishes to recruit Research Associate and Project Assistants on temporary basis to work in various sponsored projects in this Institute as per details given below. Apart from the candidate selected in the project, a panel will be made, which will be operative for a maximum period of one year from the date of interview or another interview is conducted by the Institute for recruitment of similar positions in future, whichever is earlier.
1. Research Associate - (03 position)
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Life Science, Immunology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Zoology, Cell Biology, Bio-informatics, Ocino-biology.Desirable: Practical research experience with techniques related to Molecular Biology, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Cellular Immunology and Tissue culture.Stipend: - Rs. 22,000/- to Rs.24,000/- depending upon work experienceAge limit : - 35 years as on 09.01.2012
2. Research Associate - (01 position)
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Life Science, Immunology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Zoology, Cell Biology,Molecular Biology, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science and Chemical Science.Desirable: Practical research experience in the areas mentioned above.Stipend: - Rs. 16000/- + HRA@ 20%Age limit : - 35 years as on 09.01.2012
3. Project Assistant Level-III (01 Positions)
Essential Qualification: 1st Class M.Sc in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Zoology, Cell Biology with minimum of 2 years research experience.Desirable:-Working experience with techniques related to Cellular Immunology and Tissue Culture.
Stipend: - Rs. 15,500/-
Age limit : - For RA=35 years as on 09.01.2012

(Age relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/women (for RA only) will be as per GOI Rules The engagement as a Research Associate and Project Assistants in the projects is purely on temporary basis maximum for the period of duration of the project. However, appointment will initially be offered for a period of one year and will be extended yearly basis till the duration of the project depending on the satisfactory performance of the incumbent. The appointment can be terminated by either side by giving one month’s notice. Total duration of project assistantship in CSIR Laboratories is maximum of 5 years. Therefore, if an incumbent switches between the projects, the appointment will terminate on the day he/she completes 05 years as a Research Associate/Project Assistant.

(Sharp) in the Seminar Hall of this Institute along with complete biodata duly signed and Original certificates together with latest passport size photograph affixed on it and also enclosing photocopies of certificates/testimonials in support of date of birth, qualification/ experience etc. No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
Note: Thesis submitted candidates are not eligible for interview.
