Walk in interview for Positions of DBT funded project available in National Centre for Neurotoxicity Research to assist Drug Development, Department of Pharmacology and Environmental Toxicology as per the following details for engagement on temporary basis:
Project: "Role of Metals in the Etiopathogenesis of Parkinson's disease",
Senior Research Fellow( SRF) – 1 No.
Qualifications: First Class Master’s Degree in MSc /M.Tech in Life Sciences or its equivalent from a recognized university with two years research experience. M.Phil., Candidates with one year research experience. Should have passed in National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted jointly by CSIR-UGC/GATE.
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge and experience in animal handling and sample collection, maintenance and operation of sophisticated equipment like ICP-MS, GC MS, HPLC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer etc.
Emoluments: Senior Research Fellow Rs. 20,000/, + 30% House Rent Allowance (as per revised emoluments vide DST OM A.20020/11/97-IFD dated: 31.03.2010).
Laboratory assistant - 1 No.
Qualifications Bachelor degree in Life Sciences or similar discipline. Working knowledge to use MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and document preparation is preferable.
Nature of duties: Clean maintenance of Labs including cleaning of lab wares, equipments handling in addition to assisting analytical procedures. Assisting in all research work undertaken in the project.
Emoluments: Rs. 8000/- consolidated

B. Preference will be given to those candidates whose research interest and work experience has relevance to the Project. The selected candidates will be offered Fellowship for an initial period of 1 year and may be renewed up to 31.09.2014 if found satisfactory at the end of the first year.
The above positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview. Candidate should not have any type of conviction in the court anywhere in India.
C. HOW TO APPLY

a) All degree certificates and mark sheets starting with 10th Class/HSC and up to the eligibility qualification.

ii) The Centre /Department reserve the right to cancel the recruitment if the performance is found unsatisfactory.
iii) No correspondence will be entertained with candidates who are not selected for
