While excelling as a Medical Lab Technician, acted as supervisor of 10 military and civilian personnel involved in specimen processing, and was responsible for the legal chain of custody on all specimens as well as the processing of specimens for further testing.
• Also functioned as a Radio Immuno Assay Technician, monitoring quality control and assurance; produced controls and standards, performed calibration of pipettes, and prepared statistical calculations.
• Developed expertise in performing extractions, including chemical extractions of specimens for final analysis in GC/MS.
• Played a key role in rewriting the Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
• Received an Army Achievement Medal for a covert operation I performed with the C.I.D.; refused to accept a bribe for “fixing” a specimen for a cocaine user.
