USA 2012 - Postdoctoral fellowship Immunology

The UCLA Immunogenetics Center, Department of Pathology, University of California, Los Angeles is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate for an industry-sponsored leading-edge translational research project in transplant immunology. The project focuses on mechanisms of transplant rejection with particular emphasis on the discovery and characterization of novel targets of the humoral immune response to endothelial cells.
This research project will involve discovery, characterization and developing/validating new state-of the art assays for studying anti-endothelial cell antibodies. The successful candidate must have outstanding achievements in their doctoral research and possess independent research abilities and ambitious scientific goals.
Requirements:
Applicant must be a Ph.D. candidate or recent Ph.D. graduate (within the past 2 years) in immunology, cell and/or molecular biology with experience in tissue culture, cell transfection, flow cytometry and ELISA or luminex. Experience in assay development and validation including ELISA or luminex protein and antibody measurements is a plus. UCLA is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
